eight engravings, 1812, with hand-coloring, on wove papers, published by Ferdinando Artaria, Milan, all with margins, minor creasing and staining on several plates, Il Rhesuro D'Audebert with a moisture stain within the image in the text, otherwise all apparently in very good condition, in black Art-Deco style frames and French mats with wash lines, not examined out of the frames

Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Storia Naturale delle Scimie: Eight Plates by Nicolas Henri Jacob for USD 1,195.00 (€ 1,209.39). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Henri Jacob have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Little Girl With Her Doll, Her Brother Holding A Ball in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,911.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Storia Naturale delle Scimie: Eight Plates von Nicolas Henri Jacob für USD 1.195,00 (€ 1.209,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Henri Jacob auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Little Girl With Her Doll, Her Brother Holding A Ball im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.911,04).
