Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Young Woman, Seen In Profile, Half-Length, Sewing by Nicolas Bernard Lépicié was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,572.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Bernard Lépicié achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Louis-Philippe, Duc De Valois, Au Berceau in September 2015 with an auction result of EUR 231,000.00.
