Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicolaas Wicart; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Village Of Hael On The River Waal, With Boatmen At A Landing Station sold at auction in November 2004 with the realized price of EUR 1,792.50.
