Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Central station and the St Nicolaas church, Amsterdam, in the evening by Nicolaas van der Waay was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2005. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,360.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaas van der Waay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Een werkstaking: Strike of the Ballerinas in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 40,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Central station and the St Nicolaas church, Amsterdam, in the evening von Nicolaas van der Waay wurde im April 2005 in der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.360,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas van der Waay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Een werkstaking: Strike of the Ballerinas im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.600,00.
