Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A three-master on choppy waters by Nicolaas Riegen was sold in the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaas Riegen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A calm: fishermen inspecting their catch in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 17,925.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A three-master on choppy waters von Nicolaas Riegen wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Riegen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A calm: fishermen inspecting their catch im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.925,00.
