Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Capriccio Landscape With A Ruined Temple And Sculptural Monuments, With Figures Collecting Water From A Fountain And A Town Beyond; A Capriccio Landscape With A Ruined Temple By A River, Cattle Being Taken To Water Near A Cascade, A Villa And Mountains by Nicola Viso was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,103.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicola Viso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La strage degli innocenti, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 31,850,000.00 (€ 28,626.00).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.103,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicola Viso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La strage degli innocenti beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 31.850.000,00 (€ 28.626,00) versteigert wurde.
