The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,031.50 (€ 2,055.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sailboats in the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius beyond is the most expensive artwork by Nicola De Corsi that we have observed at auctions so far.
