Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Paris held the auction Un Certain Regard sur la Photographie, which included the work Sans titre, (danseur Stowitts) by Nickolas Muray. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 420.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nickolas Muray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images Including Portraits Of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera And Miguel Covarrubias in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,247.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Un Certain Regard sur la Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre, (danseur Stowitts) von Nickolas Muray zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 420,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nickolas Muray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images Including Portraits Of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera And Miguel Covarrubias im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.247,21).
