Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work The Turfcutter And His Dog by Niccolo d'Ardia Caracciolo. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,925.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Niccolo d'Ardia Caracciolo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ha'Penny Bridge, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 20,900.00 (€ 26,585.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Turfcutter And His Dog von Niccolo d'Ardia Caracciolo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.925,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Niccolo d'Ardia Caracciolo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ha'Penny Bridge beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 20.900,00 (€ 26.585,71) versteigert wurde.
