Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Study Of A Group Of Figures, Two Carrying Crosses by Niccolò Circignani was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,923.93). Other works by Niccolò Circignani have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2018 by the work The Conversion of Saul at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,659.36).

Als die Arbeit Study Of A Group Of Figures, Two Carrying Crosses von Niccolò Circignani im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.923,93) den Besitzer.
