This artwork by Ni Zan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape-A Gift to Ban Yun sold for USD 667,500.00 (€ 623,948.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00. This high result makes Landscape-A Gift to Ban Yun the most expensive artwork by Ni Zan that we have observed at auctions so far.
