Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstraction No. 12 by Nguyen Van Trung was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Singapore in April 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SGD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of SGD 4,200.00 (€ 2,023.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Nguyen Van Trung have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2015 the work Atmosphere #24 was auctioned for HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,744.80).
