Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ng Eng Teng
When this work without title by Ng Eng Teng was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 56,875.00 (€ 6,299.37). Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Ng Eng Teng that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Ng Eng Teng
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ng Eng Teng im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 56.875,00 (€ 6.299,37) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ng Eng Teng, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
