Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hommage to Jewad by Neziha Selim was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,475.00 (€ 12,809.97). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neziha Selim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,121.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hommage to Jewad von Neziha Selim wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.475,00 (€ 12.809,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Neziha Selim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.121,45) versteigert wurde.
