Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,216.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Newell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I weep for you,' the Walrus said..., which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,277.38).
