Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel, which included the work Sing a song of sixpence... by Peter Newell. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,638.69). Other works by Peter Newell have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,277.38) in April 2011 for the work I weep for you,' the Walrus said....

Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sing a song of sixpence... von Peter Newell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.638,69) einen neuen Besitzer.
