Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Puente De Curaçao (Diptych) by Nemesio Antúnez was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,593.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Nemesio Antúnez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2021 the work Nieves Aisladas was auctioned for USD 16,562.50 (€ 13,695.94).
