Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Luciano Pavarotti (A Sketch) by Nelson Shanks was sold in the Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,980.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Shanks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana, Princess of Wales in January last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 179,807.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Luciano Pavarotti (A Sketch) von Nelson Shanks wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.160,00 (€ 17.980,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Shanks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana, Princess of Wales im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 179.807,35).
