In the Of Royal and Noble Descent auction, the work Autograph Letter Signed ("Nelson & Bronte"), With A Lengthy Postscript By Emma Hamilton, To George Matcham changed hands for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,558.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Horatio Nelson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2018 by the work Autograph Letter Signed ("Nelson & Bronte"), To Emma Hamilton, On His Imminent Departure On The Victory at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,408.31).
