This work of art by Horatio Nelson could be acquired at Sothebys in London in January 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Of Royal and Noble Descent auction, the work Autograph Letter Signed ("Nelson & Bronte"), With A Lengthy Postscript By Emma Hamilton, To George Matcham changed hands for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,558.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Horatio Nelson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2018 by the work Autograph Letter Signed ("Nelson & Bronte"), To Emma Hamilton, On His Imminent Departure On The Victory at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,408.31).
