The work Autograph Letter Signed ("Nelson & Bronte"), To Emma Hamilton, On His Imminent Departure On The Victory by Horatio Nelson was sold in the Of Royal and Noble Descent auction at Sothebys in London in January 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,408.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Autograph Letter Signed ("Nelson & Bronte"), To Emma Hamilton, On His Imminent Departure On The Victory is the most expensive artwork by Horatio Nelson that we have observed at auctions so far.
