Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work Midnight by Natalia Nesterova. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,715.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Natalia Nesterova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dancing People in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 78,000.00 (€ 112,013.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Midnight von Natalia Nesterova zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.715,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Natalia Nesterova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dancing People im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.000,00 (€ 112.013,13).
