Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2001 Christies in Singapore held the auction SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES, which included the work A view of the sea by Nasjah Djamin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SGD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of SGD 8,225.00 (€ 5,089.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Nasjah Djamin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2002 the work Wanita Nelayan (Women selling fish) was auctioned for HKD 65,725.00 (€ 8,527.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in Singapur die Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the sea von Nasjah Djamin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SGD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SGD 8.225,00 (€ 5.089,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Nasjah Djamin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2002 die Arbeit Wanita Nelayan (Women selling fish) für HKD 65.725,00 (€ 8.527,42) versteigert.
