Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Bonhams in Brussels held the auction Pierre MolinierA private collection, which included the work Portrait d'Oscar Wilde par Napoléon Sarony, ca. 1882. by Napoleon Sarony. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 512.00. Admittedly, works by Napoleon Sarony have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Oscar Wilde, 1882 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,482.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Brüssel die Auktion Pierre MolinierA private collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait d'Oscar Wilde par Napoléon Sarony, ca. 1882. von Napoleon Sarony zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 512,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Napoleon Sarony auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Oscar Wilde, 1882 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.482,29).
