This artwork by Naoki Sasayama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Lets Continue Sawing Until Flower Beads On The Chest Are Done sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 11,319.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Naoki Sasayama; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Even Though I Warm You by the Hands, Your 1000 Times are the Big Ditch sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of HKD 132,000.00 (€ 12,569.09).
