Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Henzel'S Lie Killed Gretel & The Direction of Kool Emptiness Caused By Keep Smoking by Naoki Sasayama. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 4,939.59), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Naoki Sasayama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Even Though I Warm You by the Hands, Your 1000 Times are the Big Ditch, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 132,000.00 (€ 12,569.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Henzel'S Lie Killed Gretel & The Direction of Kool Emptiness Caused By Keep Smoking von Naoki Sasayama zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 4.939,59) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Naoki Sasayama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Even Though I Warm You by the Hands, Your 1000 Times are the Big Ditch beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 132.000,00 (€ 12.569,09) versteigert wurde.
