Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self-portrait on my bed, Berlin, 1994 by Nan Goldin was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 7,560.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nan Goldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self-portrait on my bed, Berlin, 1994 von Nan Goldin kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 7.560,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nan Goldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
