Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nakabayashi Chikuto could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese Art and Design auction, the work Landscape changed hands for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,392.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nakabayashi Chikuto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waterfall, which sold at auction in March 2005 for USD 5,040.00 (€ 3,886.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nakabayashi Chikuto konnte im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese Art and Design wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.392,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nakabayashi Chikuto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waterfall beobachtet, die im März 2005 für USD 5.040,00 (€ 3.886,19) versteigert wurde.
