Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese & Korean Art, which included the work Tiger and dragon by Nakabayashi Chikkei. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,438.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Nakabayashi Chikkei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2003 the work Landscape with grove of flowering plum trees was auctioned for USD 14,340.00 (€ 8,690.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese & Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tiger and dragon von Nakabayashi Chikkei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.438,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Nakabayashi Chikkei konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2003 die Arbeit Landscape with grove of flowering plum trees für USD 14.340,00 (€ 8.690,91) versteigert.
