This work without title by Najat Makki was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,952.98), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Najat Makki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work What Happens Behind Closed Doors, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 63,400.00 (€ 43,820.85).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Najat Makki wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.952,98) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Najat Makki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit What Happens Behind Closed Doors beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 63.400,00 (€ 43.820,85) versteigert wurde.
