Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Nabil Nahas was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 45,000.00 – 55,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,637.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nabil Nahas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November last year for GBP 170,100.00 (€ 197,107.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nabil Nahas wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 45.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.637,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nabil Nahas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für GBP 170.100,00 (€ 197.107,06) versteigert wurde.
