Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Cedar Tree) by Nabil Nahas was sold in the We Are All Beirut auction at Christies in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,748.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nabil Nahas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November last year for GBP 170,100.00 (€ 197,107.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Cedar Tree) von Nabil Nahas wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion We Are All Beirut bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 76.748,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nabil Nahas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für GBP 170.100,00 (€ 197.107,06) versteigert wurde.
