This artwork by Nabil Nahas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in March 2019. In the Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work UNTITLED #1 sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,097.97) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nabil Nahas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November last year for GBP 170,100.00 (€ 197,107.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nabil Nahas erzielte im März 2019 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit UNTITLED #1 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.097,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nabil Nahas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für GBP 170.100,00 (€ 197.107,06) versteigert wurde.
