It achieved a price of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,359.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Myles Birket Foster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meet in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 240,250.00 (€ 382,313.43).

Die Arbeit 'Queensferry' von Myles Birket Foster kam im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.359,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Myles Birket Foster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Meet im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 240.250,00 (€ 382.313,43).
