Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work The Pedlar by Myles Birket Foster. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,909.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Myles Birket Foster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meet in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 240,250.00 (€ 382,313.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pedlar von Myles Birket Foster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.909,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Myles Birket Foster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Meet im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 240.250,00 (€ 382.313,43).
