Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Turkish untitled by Mubin Orhon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 93,359.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mubin Orhon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition Abstraite, 1963, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 372,298.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Turkish untitled von Mubin Orhon kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 93.359,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mubin Orhon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition Abstraite, 1963 beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 372.298,00 versteigert wurde.
