The work STREET-CORNER OASIS by Mr. was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 7,056,000.00 (€ 827,986.80), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 4,656,652.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit STREET-CORNER OASIS von Mr. wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 7.056.000,00 (€ 827.986,80) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 4.656.652,17).
