Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Sporting & Wildlife Sale, which included the work A Natural History of the Nests and Eggs of British Birds, 3 vol., George Bell, 1875 by Morris. The price achieved of GBP 128 (€ 141) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 100 - 200. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in May 2018 with an auction result of EUR 143,750.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Sporting & Wildlife Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Natural History of the Nests and Eggs of British Birds, 3 vol., George Bell, 1875 von Morris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 128 (€ 141) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100 – 200 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Morris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 143.750.
