Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Café Terminus by Morris Kestelman was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in August 2021. The price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 854.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Morris Kestelman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,501.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Café Terminus von Morris Kestelman kam im August 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 854,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Morris Kestelman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.501,94).
