Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Grisebach held the auction Herbstauktionen 2017 - Kayany Foundation – Benefizauktion, which included the work Hurricane and Other Catastrophes (#20). by Monica Bonvicini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Monica Bonvicini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 48,080.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Grisebach die Auktion Herbstauktionen 2017 - Kayany Foundation – Benefizauktion durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hurricane and Other Catastrophes (#20). von Monica Bonvicini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Monica Bonvicini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 48.080,17) versteigert wurde.
