Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition - 1992 by Mohammed Kacimi was sold in the A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art auction at Artcurial in Marrakech in December 2020. The price achieved of MAD 312,000.00 (€ 27,296.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammed Kacimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nomadic Signs, which sold at auction in November last year for GBP 57,000.00 (€ 66,049.99).

Die Arbeit Composition - 1992 von Mohammed Kacimi wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art bei Artcurial in Marrakesch versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 312.000,00 (€ 27.296,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Kacimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nomadic Signs beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für GBP 57.000,00 (€ 66.049,99) versteigert wurde.
