Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Mohammed Ehsai. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 74,119.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohammed Ehsai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work He Is The Merciful in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,161,000.00 (€ 745,760.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mohammed Ehsai zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 74.119,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Ehsai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit He Is The Merciful im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.161.000,00 (€ 745.760,53).
