Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Mohammed Ehsai was sold in the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohammed Ehsai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work He Is The Merciful in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,161,000.00 (€ 745,760.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mohammed Ehsai wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Ehsai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit He Is The Merciful im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.161.000,00 (€ 745.760,53).
