Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Wide rimmed pot by Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro. The price achieved of GBP 2,422.50 (€ 2,786.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pot (with narrow neck), 1986, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 6,937.00 (€ 8,051.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wide rimmed pot von Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.422,50 (€ 2.786,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pot (with narrow neck), 1986 beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 6.937,00 (€ 8.051,57) versteigert wurde.
