Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Miriam Cahn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work sportler, 28.7.96 sold for GBP 108,350.00 (€ 126,100.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miriam Cahn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work o.t., which sold at auction in October this year for HKD 2,286,000.00 (€ 276,448.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Miriam Cahn erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit sportler, 28.7.96 für GBP 108.350,00 (€ 126.100,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Miriam Cahn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit o.t. beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für HKD 2.286.000,00 (€ 276.448,52) versteigert wurde.
