This artwork by Min Zhen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Bamboo And Orchid sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,335.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. This high result makes Bamboo And Orchid the most expensive artwork by Min Zhen that we have observed at auctions so far.
