Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Menina E Borboletas by Milton Dacosta was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,268.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Dacosta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figura in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 171,750.00 (€ 132,237.45).

Die Arbeit Menina E Borboletas von Milton Dacosta wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.268,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
