Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Figura by Milton Dacosta. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,323.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Milton Dacosta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figura in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 171,750.00 (€ 132,237.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figura von Milton Dacosta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.323,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Milton Dacosta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figura im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 171.750,00 (€ 132.237,45).
