This artwork by Milan Kunc achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction, the work Czech sharks sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,770.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Milan Kunc; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Psychedelic Afternoon sold at auction in December 2019 with the realized price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,494.52).

In der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective wurde die Arbeit Czech sharks für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.770,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Milan Kunc; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Psychedelic Afternoon im Dezember 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.494,52).
