The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,875.00 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mikkel McAlinden have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,950.27) in May 2008 for the work Le déjeuner sur l'herbe.
