Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Evening At The Oil Refinery by Mikhail Kazansky was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2016. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,701.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Kazansky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work House On The Pier, which sold at auction in November 2014 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,930.15).
